Dear Mr. Gebauer,

You can read about the advantages of the stitch method in this forum in the thread "Dr. Merck's stitch method" and some more details at www.merck-ecs.com.

The possible heavy complications that can occur after a traditional method are ruled out. There are only very few slight complications: The possibility that a thread comes up to the surface ,if you have very thin skin which, if not removed, can cause an inflammation. This complication is very quickly and simply eliminated, without any lasting marks, by removing the thread. A new protrusion is far rarer than with traditional methods. By the way, the risk that a thread is rejected is also a lot lower than with the traditional methods. This is due to the use of highly biocompatible prolene-threads.

Best regards,

Priv.Doz.Dr.med.W. Merck
